Some ideas begin with a question. Others begin with an image.
As Gito Art took shape, a new concept began to emerge: what if the beauty, texture, and character of original buon fresco works could be experienced through fine art photography?
The goal was not simply to photograph frescoes, but to create something that could stand on its own as a contemporary artwork. Every texture, crack, layer, and detail became part of the composition - revealing qualities that might otherwise remain unseen.

Development began on what would become PhotoFresco™: a new way of presenting the timeless character of fresco through the precision and depth of fine art photography.
It was a meeting of two worlds - an ancient artistic tradition and a modern photographic approach.
This early experiment would become one of the foundations of Gito Art, opening the door to a collection where history, craftsmanship, and contemporary visual art could exist together.
PhotoFresco™ was more than a technique. It was the beginning of a new way to see fresco.
