An idea becomes real when you can finally see it.

Following the development of PhotoFresco™, the first Gito Art collection began to take shape. The initial series brought together carefully selected details from original buon fresco works, transformed through fine art photography into distinctive contemporary pieces.

Each artwork revealed something different: a fragment of history, an unexpected texture, a subtle colour, or a detail that might easily go unnoticed in the original fresco.

The challenge was to preserve the character of these centuries-old surfaces while giving them a new visual identity - one that could exist independently as fine art.

Little by little, individual photographs became a collection. The first series established the visual language of Gito Art and showed what was possible when traditional art and contemporary photography met.

This was the moment Gito Art began to look like a collection, rather than just an idea.

And the first PhotoFresco artworks were only the beginning.
