GITO ART took its passion for creativity beyond the gallery walls and onto the streets of Sofia, joining the Wizz Air Sofia Marathon 2026 with its very own team - GITO Racing.
Supported by Joma Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Boxing Federation and the marathon organizers, the initiative brought together nearly 50 participants, including professional athletes, boxing champions, young talents, artists and friends of GITO.
The highlight of the weekend was an outstanding victory by Ivo Balabanov, who claimed first place in the 10 km race with an impressive time of 30 minutes and 13 seconds. Other GITO Racing members also delivered remarkable performances across the 5 km and 10 km distances.
But the achievement went far beyond the finish line.
Through this collaboration, GITO ART brought contemporary art into an unexpected environment, introducing new audiences to Bulgarian creativity. The event also featured exclusive marathon-inspired posters created by GITO artist Stanislav Vlahov.
A weekend filled with energy, teamwork, unforgettable emotions and a shared belief that art belongs everywhere.
The race may be over, but for GITO ART, the movement has only just begun.
